It was a bright sunny day, that day. So it was that this universe decided it’s time to split, starting from a boy called Cree Summers.

Deep down in the clean-as-ever corridors of the 216-year-old maternity ward, a baby boy was born. This particular one is probably one of the most boring babies one could ever see in a 100-year period that is the average life expectancy in New York City. The fact that he was born in New York City didn’t do much to help, because that’s where 90% of the people were born anyway, as with 90% of all events, interesting or not. [2]

To make him even more boring, he had exactly two parents, each with entirely normal names Helen and Mandy Summers. The only thing interesting thing about him is that even though he was a boy he was still given a girl’s name, and even that was actually boring in context because the Summers family had been particularly fond of cross-dressing names – Helen was his father and Mandy was his mother.

Maybe that was a very depressing departure from reality, but as the nail and the butterfly always says, a small difference could mean the difference of life and death, and this becomes evident in a fairly surprising way, as you will find out soon.

  2. Another 7% of all events seem to happen in Tokyo, leaving 3% for the rest of the world to share. Boohoo.
